 Post subject: Auto-Scan crash in new update

This only appear to happen with movies in the library. To me it appears to have an issue with collections. If I move media out of collection folder and delete the collection folder auto-scan does not crash MCM.

I have collections without this issue (on either version). Can you try to narrow down the cause? Are you using flat mode? (I'm mobile at the moment or I'd look at the support info)

I have test on three different machines (WHS2011, Win 7 Ultimate, and Windows 8.1 Pro), all with the came results as soon as a collection is introduced MCM crashes.


Always crashes at first collection folder and backdrop.jpg. Noticed on MCM re-launch items removed from cache then re-added to cache.

Thanks for all the details. I found the issue here.

Auto-scan was trying to pull the DateAdded property recursively, ultimately causing a stack overflow. This would only happen (a) with auto-scan, (b) with collections/boxsets, and (c) with "detect and automatically organize single-file titles" enabled. All three in conjunction will cause this problem to manifest.

Will be fixed in the next beta release.
