I noticed a while back... The main GUI displays a good bit of the TV show data to the bottom right (along with the cover). Well it seems the "tTVDB ID #" is wrong. It seems to be pulling that info from the "SeriesID" field in the XML file.

An example... on thetvdb.com "Friends With Benefits" has a series ID of 163571. In the XML file that MCM created a while back the <id> is 163571 and the <SeriesID> is 78787. On the main GUI the tTVDB ID # listed is NOT the one on thetvdb.com... It's showing ID 78787 in the tTVDB ID # field... Bug?

Pete:
There are TWO ID's for every show at thetvdb.com. The ID you want to use is the one that's displayed in Media Center Master when you right-click and choose 'Organize'. Use that one in your override. :)

the id # we see on line at theTVDB.com is the one we use to identify with and what MCM fetches from theTVDB API site is different, and not always in sync with each other.

Pete:
What you see at http://www.thetvdb.com is not what the API server returns to us. They are separate servers and they have an entire background sync process that moves data between the servers. As a result, there's a time delay and often broken series that won't return the correct data. This is usually more prevalent with meta images (fanart/thumbnails/etc.), but sometimes happens with meta-data too.

Great, thanks guys. So why is there basically two different DBs on thetvdb.com? That's why a lot of times MCM can't get the data for the show.. :)

Is there a way to force a sync on thetvdb.com? For example could I change the data on the website side? Would that force a sync between the two?
