Post subject:  Third Party Usenet Provider Index Usage

I recently subscribed to 'UsenetServer' and added the account details to MCM in the hopes that MCM would additionally maintain my media server using this service since many of the torrenting sites are closing up shop. I have used the credentials to log into the web-site to access the newsgroup so I know that my credentials work. The problem I am experiencing is that MCM does not appear to be downloading the index to make use of the newsgroup. I have used MCM for a couple of years and love it, this is my first experience using the application with newsgroups. I have followed the posted guides and everything appears to be in order. Is there something that I am missing? Thank you! I appreciate your responses.

I recently installed SABnzbd along with a script to perform post-processing using filebot as a work-around which seems to be working. However, I must say that I am disappointed with the lack of response to my initial query as I really wanted to make use of the built in MCM news-reader to search for items no longer available by torrent. Thanks anyway. Left alone, with enough time I always figure something out.

I'm a little saddened to see this post has gone ignored for several months because I came here with a similar question.

The question didn't make sense to me. MCM doesn't download entire indices so I'm really not sure what the OP is after.
