  5.  TV Series titles
  6.  TV Episodes

  1. Overview

All titles in a "Scan" folder are subject to being highlighted.

The highlights indicate missing: metadata, artwork, or the primary language audio track.

The following setting controls all of the highlights (on/off) for all titles.

Highlight missing meta information (left side, bottom of User Interface, under "Text filter:")

The methods used to remove red and yellow highlights will vary between the different types of media titles.

The orange highlight is an optional "Premium" license feature.

When this feature is enabled, it will override a triggered yellow highlight.

If you plan to work on several incomplete titles (remove highlights) at one time, it may be beneficial to increase the trigger time on the interval timers listed in:

Application (menu) --> Settings & Preferences... (1st item) --> General (tab) --> right side options --> "Save" after making changes

      To prevent interfering log activity.

Be sure to make a copy of the settings, or a screen capture, so you can restore settings, when you have finished.

  2. Movie titles

    • Red highlight - missing metadata.

Fetch metadata by using the following tools:

        1. Right click the title (context menu) --> Fetch metadata (3rd item)

Should you experience problems with the above tool, use:

        2. Right click the title (context menu) --> Fetch... (4th item) --> Select one the Movie options (top of list)

    • Yellow highlight - missing one or more artwork images.

See this guide: Artwork: Adding, Replacing, and Deleting (here) for more information.

    • Orange highlight (premium license only) - missing the primary language audio track.

      • If a title is missing artwork and the primary language audio track, the title is highlighted orange.

      • The following setting is used to select the preferred language:

Application (menu) --> Settings & Preferences... (1st item) --> Metadata (tab) --> Pull-down menu, primary language (right side) --> "Save" after making changes

      • The following setting is required to inspect files for audio and video details, video quality and source, and audio language tracks.

Application (menu) --> Settings & Preferences... (1st item) --> General (tab) --> Inspect and record video file details (left side, 10th tick box) --> "Save" after making changes

      • The following setting is required to enable hidden columns:

Application (menu) --> Settings & Preferences... (1st item) --> General (tab) --> Allow slow-updating columns in the UI (left side, 10th tick box) --> "Save" after making changes

Select which hidden columns will be listed in library view:

Right click any library column header (context menu) --> User preference

      • After the feature has been enabled it is not necessary to re-fetch metadata for titles. Re-fresh the titles in the library with the following tool:

Select title (context menu) --> Refresh and re-inspect video details (top half of list)

Multi-selection of several titles is also available ("Ctrl + Select" or "Shift + Select").

Also see: What's going on behind the scenes (here) for more information in a reply to a forum topic from Pete.

  3. Movie Collections (boxsets)

    • Red highlight - missing metadata.

The top level (parent) folder containing the grouped set of movies has not been converted to a collection title folder which is required, first, before metadata can be fetched.

See this guide: "Convert to Collection, Movie Boxsets, Nested & Group Folders" (here) for more information.

    • Yellow highlight - not available.

    • Orange highlight - not available.

  4. Obscure movies, family and youtube type videos

    • Red highlight - missing metadata.

Movies and videos which can not be found at any of the fetching sites requires a blank metadata file that is use for saving movie or video details provided by the user.

        • Enable the following setting to create a blank metadata file.

Application (menu) --> Movies (tab) --> Created blank metadata if no results were found (right side, 4th item) --> "Save" after making changes

        • The blank metadata file is created when fetching metadata with the following tools:

          • Right click the title (context menu) --> Fetch metadata (1st item)

            or

          • Right click the title (context menu) --> Fetch... (2nd item) --> ...as Movie (forced) (1st item)

        • When the "Movie Confirmation" and "Enter an IMDB ID" pop-ups appear,

            Click - Cancel button.

        • Add movie or video details in the metadata editor:

Select title (library) --> Metadata tab (right side of User Interface)

Click the "Save" button to save changes to the metadata file.

        • If needed, save to other metadata format with the following tool:

Right click title (context menu) --> Export to other metadata formats (bottom part of list)

    • Yellow highlight - missing one or more artwork images.

See this guide: Artwork: Adding, Replacing, and Deleting (here) for more information.

    • Orange highlight (premium license only) - missing the primary language audio track.

See: Movie titles topic, above, for more infomation.
