It seems I sorted it out - the problem was RAM related.

The first thing that helped was switching off crowdsource indentication. Then I realized that the fewer number of movies in the scan folders the more stable is mcm.

And et the end, I set this:

"Increase File System Memory Cache
Windows has a default size to its lists and memory thresholds for buffers that the kernel and device drivers create as caches for file system operations. Use this setting to substantially increase the amount of memory reserved for file system caching. The following command should be run from an elevated command prompt:
Command FSUTIL BEHAVIOR SET MEMORYUSAGE 2"

Now mcm is responsive, and it only crashed once or twice within an hour.

Mine was crashing after processing/renaming and moving. Just turned off trakt and we'll see.

I also see the download parser hang after the first file. If I exit MCM and restart, it will process the next file and then hang again. I had traktv enabled... I disabled it and restarted MCM, and it still hangs.

I just realized there are two places that use traktv in the settings... metadata and downloads. I had disabled the traktv in downloads yesterday and still had hangs. Today I disabled traktv in the metadata tab, and the download parser completed the queue without hanging up. :)

I was having a similar crashing problem.
I was able to get it working again by running in compatibility mode for windows 7.

I changed both the MCMstublauncher.exe in the program files folder and the mediacentermaster.exe in the bin folder to run with admin permission and run in windows 7 compatibility.

Locations:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Media Center Master\MCMStubLauncher.exe
C:\Users\{your user name here}\AppData\Roaming\Peter Souza IV\Media Center Master\binmediacentermaster.exe

I also had to add exception in my virus/malware protection software

edit: also, i ran it from the mediacentermaster.exe in the bin folder

I'm running Windows 10... and had run on Windows 7 for years and never had to do anything special... I've also never had issues with antivirus...

I have been running all day with traktv disabled in the metatdata and download tabs in settings, and have not had any hangs.

For me, I never had trak.tv integration enabled and was still getting crashes.
Running in compatibility mode for windows 7 fixed my crashes.
YMMV, but i wanted to add it in case it helped someone whose situation was similar to mine.
