Hi guys,

First time poster, long time user (awesome work by Pete over many years) :D

I use free-version of MCM for obtaining artwork/metadata but most importantly as a movie catalog tool.

Over the past few months I have been getting errors when attempting to retrieve RT voted scores.
"score could not be read or is not rated (RottenTomatoes)"

Ive checked issues log and forums and cant seem to see this as being a known problem, so is RT score retrieval considered a licensed feature?

Thanks

I'm not sure if it is a "Premium" feature or not but it appears to not be working at all. Pete may have to update this (Source Change).

I get the same on "Free" and "Premium".

Rotten Tomatoes is legitimately broken... by them. They require specific advertisement branding now in order to use their API. I may opt not to use their API anymore for the fetcher, but haven't decided yet how best to proceed; I certainly don't want their branding appearing in Media Center Master.

Any chance of reinstating the RT rating?
I for one find it a lot better gauge of whether I am going to like a movie than the IMDB rating.
I wouldn't be fussed by RT branding in MCM, but I can see why you wouldn't like that, Pete.

Thanks, Pete

If you are an "Emby" (MB3) paid user, you can get their Rotten Tomatoes plugin, but there is a cost to do so.

how do you enable RT ratings?

I thought MCM has been fetching imdb scores...

I would prefer RT score cos it is more accurate or better than Imdb which gets inflated or deflated with unrealistic score

And I don't mind rotten tomatoes branding

But it is currently not working, and the score defaults to the IMDB rating. See Pete's response above in this thread.

Pete, any way this could be an option again? I think your users would forgive some RT branding if it meant we could get their rating.

Ping....any change on MCM's use of RT's API? I read the previous comment about it requiring some branding in MCM but that was 6 months ago.

There has been no changes to the program, as yet.
