I am thinking of buying this program if i can get it to work. There is a lot of things it can do but it is really confusing to get it to work. I have my Movies on 2 hard drives connected to my Boxie and the folder structure is videos_1\Movies_1\a\ (the last is repeated for evch letter of the alphabet) (all movies starting with the letter a are in the a sub directory and so on with each letter of the alphabet) I am running the Media Center Master from my windows 7 computer and reading the directories through my wireless network to the Boxie drives. It is taking forever for the program to load and to scan the drives. (Is this program network comparable? It see the folders no problem but it does not see most of the movie and tv show files. I have a separate drive for tv shows. What am i doing wrong and can you please guide me through how to get this to work. To get all the meta data etc for each of my movies and hopefully it will make the correct files in each movie dir for my boxie to recognize.

Please, supply your "Support Information." It list all of your settings, so we are not guessing about how you have configured MCM. All confidential information is blocked out.

Help (menu) --> Support Information (5th item) --> Copy all (bottom, button) --> Yes --> OK and then paste in next reply.

Is there a specific reason for having movies in 26 folders, A - Z, or is it just a personal preference? Would you object to using just one (1) folder named Movies with all of your movies in it?

example
G:\Movies
|
Movie 1 (folder)
|
Movie 2 (folder)
|
Movie 3 (folder)

Are all of your TV Series titles in separate folders with season sub-folders?

example
J:\TV
|
Series 1 (folder)
||
|Season 1 (folder with episodes)
||
|Season 2 (folder with episodes)
|
Series 2 (folder)

Yes, MCM works across a network.
Question to ask yourself: Is my wireless able to handle all of the devices connected to it? (smart phones, ipads, laptops...)
Question: Did you try what Doug suggested in your other post? Boxie [UNSOLVED]
You did not reply back.

Have you watched the videos in the "Guides" forum?

There really is no reason to have your movies separated into A, B, C, etc. Any media program worth half it's salt will let you do that without physically having to separate the files.

I DO sort my files by type of rip however, like a BRRip, DVDRip, HDRip.. folders that I setup in MCM as "Scan Folders" (Ctrl-S).

Personally I use Emby's Media Server then I use the Web interface to browse and play to my WMC or External Player (so I can use MPC). There are also the Windows 8.1/10 Apps, Emby Theatre, etc.. for viewing choices as well.

In "Windows Explore" you can sort/separate A - Z, or Z - A.

I still have a server set up this way. It made searching via DLNA a lot easier.

It is more of a personal preference and the movies are divided between 3 hard drives. I also have over 2500 movies and tv shows that I have been collecting over the years. My own personal Netflix :)
Hmm strange I just started the program and all the directories I put in are not there. Here is the support information you requested. My TV Series are mostly like you suggested but I have not tried your program on the tv shows yet, was trying it on the movies. So the structure for the movies is BOXIEBOX\videos_1\Movies 1\A\A Brief History of Time (1991). Others look like A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966) [1080p] or A Very Harold And Kumar Christmas DVDRip XviD-DiAMOND. I do this for all the letters. Some of these movie folders have artwork in them. The tv shows as well. If I was to put all in one directory then the artwork world be a nightmare to sort though if I need to find a particular picture. I like things to be orderly not 1 big mess.

Are you manually deleting information in the "Support Information" spoilers?

If yes, please do not do that. You are deleting information we need to look at. Confidential information is already blocked.

I have not deleted anything, I loaded the program up this morning and all dirs. were gone I just tried doing 1 dir now and I pasted exactly what you said to do. It also seems that get this program to run over my network is slow as you can see by the error message. I guess I will have to connect the drives to my computer and run it that way and then when done connect the drives back to my boxie.

Wait before doing that.

If you did not try what he suggested, do not do it now (emphasis added).
If you did do what he suggested, please tell us "yes."

You have old dll's

rhuffman wrote:

These should be

IMDB.dll version: 3.3.11015.1380
TMDb.dll version: 5.3.11015.1380

Please download (here) and re-install MCM over your current installation.

Restart MCM and let it auto-update. Then let's see what happens.

Re-post your "Support Information."

Ok will do that, it is right now scanning a test directory and it seems to be working but I will stop it and re-install the program. Also is there anyway I can pay for this program without using paypal ?
