i would definitely like to have an option to search for HEVC/H265 content. i usually have to do this manually as i'm working to switch my library over to all h265.

Drive space is cheap, h.265 is good, I have fast and uncapped FiOS and my 65" 4K/HDR screen is desperate for content. Bring it!

Is it time that Media Center Master adds support for automatic download of movies and TV? This could be a huge undertaking that may cause massive rewrite in the way fallback qualities are handled.

HEVC / x.265 4k video is starting to come out... but the TVs have plummeted in price due to the fact that the content is still almost nonexistent

I've been waiting for it for a long time and am the go to guy for friends on media center issues, and 2 years ago had people arguing with me to take a 100% markup on TVs for it, but reality is now, two years later, KAT has about 12 real titles available in it out of, I dunno, maybe 3 - 4 million torrents...

also, in spite of a LOT of directors doing the original recording in 4K, very few of them are releasing anything above 720p

lastly, a well encoded 720p in x.265 comes in at about 600-800mB... with a good upscaling TV, 90% of people can't tell the difference between that and a native 1080p lossless, so few guys are bothering to even download 1080p (as was demonstrated by YIFY before they died)

no way should you do that rewrite now... it is a ways off and though it would be a great to have the marketing point, it's much more important to refine or add things like Kodi integration, newsgroup integration, performance optimization etc.

As much as I would love to see this, the questions are;

How many users have 4k televisions?
How many groups are out there encoding in HEVC / x.265?
Do you (Peter) have the time to undertake this project now?

Either way, I support your work, and I'm sure there are a lot of users that would love to have the latest and greatest, but do they out weigh the ones that don't have 4k?

If you have the time undertake such a project, then go for it, I'm sure there are a quite a few folks in this community that would love to help out and BETA test. So, it's really up to you.

While I do not have a 4K TV (yet), I do have some 4K movies (prep, I guess).

As for HEVC/x265, I haven't downloaded anything but x265 in the last 2 years.
Everything is available on KAT and even TorrentDay finally created subcategories for them.

Is there an ETA on at least adjusting the quality ratings for 4K movies?
I have a 1080p version that rates 96
The 4K version is getting a 46

Are there any updates on the horizon?
Anything to correct the 4K quality ratings?

Good day,

Even though the content is minimal at the moment, it is the way of the future and I would request that it be incorporated.

Would it not also mean the nzb indexer would also need to be updated?

Thanks for a great program and regards from Africa.

I'm still trying to decide on a complete 1080p library. :) I'm easing into 1080p. 4K has a lot of ways to go for me... I need new hardware (drives). It's a big undertaking for me to get to 4K especially when I have not upgraded my TVs for about 5+ years...

So for me... That's a negative huston.

Pete, Thanks for all your hard work! Best application ever and one of the few I have ever paid for... Good work deserves cash!
