Hi all!!

Im have a little problem. (at lest I think its a problem. LOL)
If you look at the bottom right hand side you can see a yellow icon. Its always there, never goes away. When i hover over it it says "this icon shows the status of all metadata fetching workers collectively."
When I try to close MCM it says "There is at least one video in the queue for content fetching"....blah, blah, blah LOL.

As far as I can tell, it is still doing its job of downloading/putting things in the proper place.

So what do you guys think?

so I have a update to this, but I still don't know how to fix it or why it's happening.

It happens when MCM does episode level scans. for some reason it ALWAYS stops at Vikings S02 E07 Blood Eagle. It will just stay there for days not doing anything. the only way to fix it is to shut down MCM and reopen it. this happens every time it does the scan. I tried removing the episode but it just gets stuck on episode 08.

I was also wrong about it not affecting anything. MCM is still downloading but that's it, it wont do anything after that.

This is driving me crazy, some help would be amazing!!

here's a pic of what its doing. it says its missing thumbnail for 2x08 but when you go into the folder its already there.

Have you used the Troubleshooter from the Help menu on your Vikings folder? There's an option in the Troubleshooter to test permissions to determine if there's a problem that could cause hangups like this.

Thanks for the reply Pete!!

I got some new news. I tried the Troubleshooter and everything was fine.
I'm getting really frustrated with it so I started playing around with different settings. One of the things I did was "re-fetch all media titles". As MCM was doing its thing a pop-up came up and asked if the Vikings folder was the show was Vikings. I obviously said yes.
Now there's a new issue. Instead of freezing/stopping on Vikings its now stopping on X-files S01 E09 Space.avi.
Its the exact same thing as before but now with a different show. LOL

Hmm, will you go up to Help » Debug » Thread Management and show me which threads are listed there?

It may be prudent to try again once all your cache items are finished updating. The list of threads active should be much shorter and it'll be easier to pinpoint a problem thread.

I shut everything down and started again.

You can see that in one pic I made sure it stopped everything before doing the scan.

You should not be using TV episode auto-scan to troubleshoot a problem with a stuck fetcher thread. Disable episode-level auto-scan, restart MCM, and just manually fetch the stuck show. Then check your threads.

All the auto-scan does is check for missing episode thumbnails or missing episode metadata. If any episodes exist that are missing either, the show is queued to be fetched. Then the fetch occurs and ... somewhere ... the thread is getting stuck. So take the auto-scan out of that equation and just fetch the show manually.

I think I did it correctly. I right clicked it and pressed "Fetch as T.V. show (thetvdb.com)" is that right?

If that is correct then everything went fine.
