Hi,
Long time MCM Premium user, and recently MCM stopped downloading new TV content and shows. It appears to be a problem with accessing the TVDB.com database.

I have uninstalled MCM, removed preferences, and did a clean install both of an old version from February, and the current version. No change. I have also set up new blank scan folders for testing.

Here are the weird things I see:
1. Under Application/Manage Fetchers and Plugins - Movies, Primary, Movies, Secondary, and Adult have a ? to the right of the fetcher that gives details. However, Television does not. If I select imdb, com, thetvdb.com, or tvrage.com there is no ? and no information on the fetcher in the right box. Is this normal?

2. When I go to Media/Add a T.V. series, when I try to type a name of a show like "The Mayor" MCM freezes up for 30 seconds or so. When I try to enter an ID (like 311711), it says "this series ID doesn't see to exist at the tvdb.com. Please check that you have entered it correctly". When I go to the log, this is what I see:

:25 PM :: MCM: Cache of 0 loaded in 0 seconds.
3:25 PM :: MCM: No cache detected, building a new one now (this may take a few minutes on a large library)!
3:25 PM :: MCM: Scan folders (1) inspected in 0 seconds.
3:25 PM :: MCM: New titles scanned and loaded in 0 seconds.
3:25 PM :: MCM: Missing cache items removed in 0 seconds.
3:25 PM :: MCM: Library listed in 0 seconds.
3:25 PM :: MCM: Your library includes 0 titles and took 0.4 seconds to load.
3:25 PM :: -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3:35 PM :: thetvdb.com now working on The Mayor
3:35 PM :: thetvdb.com not responding (attempt to get mirrors)!
3:35 PM :: thetvdb.com Unable to determine what show this is

I have deleted thetvdb.dll file, and MCM redownloaded it, no change
I did set up a new router a month ago, and that MAY have been around the time the problems started. My MCM PC is set up with a static IP address, I shut off the router firewall, and I also placed the IP address of the computer in the DMZ. There was no change in the ability of MCM to access thetvdb.com.

When I use a browser on the computer, access to any websites, including thetvdb.com is fine.

I have exhausted my ability to fix this problem. What do I do next?

Thank you,
Frank

All tvdb lookups are working here. Could have just been tvdb was down at the time. Is it still happening?

Please post your support information.

Nevermind. Never did determine where the problem lied. But for other reasons, I ended up having to do a complete Windows 10 install from scratch. Works fine now :-)
