I have a Netgear NeoTV 550, and although the current MCM settings allow creation of TAG files that it can read, there is a problem with the cast because of a bug on the NeoTV, even with the "Limit to 300 characters..." option set in MCM.
Although the NeoTV doesn't crash with long cast lists, it does do a hard cutoff at 128 characters. This often splits a name in half, and the partial name gets indexed into the NeoTV database, which gets ugly really fast.
What I did when I created TAG files manually was to add extra spaces after the comma that comes after the actor before the 128 character limit and push the next actor "off the edge". This allowed the TAG file to not cause the NeoTV 550 to have partial names, and other devices which didn't have the limit would read the entire cast list correctly (because extra spaces at the start/end of names get removed).
So, I would like to see an option added to the Netgear metadata tab to enable this kind of split in the cast list in the TAG file.
Thanks.
