Could there not be an option for opensubtitles.org with a username and pwd, then you can go create your own account at the website and enter your credentials and now the subtitles problem no longer relies on a key or workaround from MCM but the user to create a free account?

I'm getting a message that says MCM: ... timed out waiting for site to respond
That's with both sites turned on...the main and the secondary backup one for subtitles.

It's not downloading any subtitles for me now. I've checked both Subscene an OpenSubtitles but MCM never finds any subtitles at all.

Im not sure how they are doing it but emby server seems to be pulling back subtitles with opensubtitles.org
you have to register and enter in your username and password into the server gui but it does seem to be working

Doesnt look to strict either, although the 40 requests every 10 seconds per IP is actually pretty easy to do.

As a workaround, I’m using subliminal in the MCM post-processing to get the subtitles I want. It’s not perfect - it requires python, and subliminal is rather slow because it hashes the video file and searches in the files for embedded subs before attempting to download new ones (idk if you can turn that off). But it does search multiple sources and hasn’t failed to get me at least the English subs for any of my library so far. I installed it as a python package with Code: pip install subliminal , and then put the full path to subliminal.exe in the post-processing field and this text in the argument field: Code: download -l en %V (but you can add multiple -l parameters to get multiple languages).

Still nothing on this? I can't hear worth a damn and I need subtitles or I'm screwed.
