when ever I export my library to an html list, it always lists several movies as "missing video file" in the quality column. How ever none of the video files are actually missing ... I have verified this. Can some one explain why this is, and how to fix it?

Hey deucide.

If you open the XML file in any of your movies you will notice at the very bottom are details/specs on that movie file. It lists bit rate, frame rate, duration, and so on. If this bottom section is missing in the XML file then your movies will show as a "missing file" because it sees not movie details.

To Fix - Just select the movie in MCM, right click and select "Refresh and reinspect video details". Be patient, it might take several seconds to start up this process. Once this is done you should now see those video specs in the XML file. You can highlight several files at once and right click to process them one after the other.

Sometimes missing specs happens because MCM uses 3rd party tools to get those specs. If you read the log when a new movie is processed to your folders, MCM will show in the log "media details were not available using either VidInfo utility, MediaInfo library, or FFMPEG utility". So it's not really a MCM issue, but a VidInfo or MediaInfo tool issue. Lot's of moving parts behind the scenes with MCM.

Hope this helps.
