Hi,

I am a new user and cannot get my head around the filtering?

For example I have 2 movies called 13 Hours, one is in x264 & the other in HEVC if I set the filter to show duplicates only there is no information to show, is this because they are using different codecs as this is the only difference I can find between them as they are the same movie in different folders. Is there a way to highlight my duplicates of the same movie in a different codec?

Many Thanks!

I believe this is more toward both items are in the same folder so MCM does not see duplicates as that folder is one item to MCM. If they were in separate folders MCM would see two folders with the same providerids and flag as duplicate.

This is my understanding of this filter.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply :-)

I have 2 subfolders to my movie collections /x264 & /x265 so the movies ARE in different folders so not sure why they are not showing as duplicates?

/Movies/x264/13 Hours (2016)/13 Hours (2016).mp4
/Movies/x265/13 Hours (2016)/13 Hours (2016).mkv

Hmm, well I just added your example and they appear as duplicates whether they have metadata or not.

You are selecting the filter option "Only show duplicates" correct?

ah! it's working!

I had not tried it for a while but now it is working!

I wonder if it had not fully scanned my library as it took several days due to the confirmations. The last time I applied the filter I had a blank screen this time I have 8 different movies :-)

Thanks so much for your time
