If MCM is open for more than 24 hours, when it goes to process downloaded TV shows it can not figure out if any of the shows are TV shows or movies. If I close the software and reopen it, and run process downloads, it immediately identifies every file.

Any suggestions?

I use the download parser to process episodes daily with out issue assuming TVDB is not having issue.

Which TVDB fetcher are you using (v2 or v3)?

I have a similar issue.
Example:
Yesterday there was a new episode of “X TVSow” that MCM searched for and couldn’t find an appropriate match, throughout the day it was the same result. This morning the same show shows no new episodes, one would assume it was found and downloaded overnight, but not the case. If I close MCM and restart it recognizes it’s a missing episode and searches for it. So for now I’m having to restart MCM daily to make it work..

I'm using V3. It doesn't seem to be fetcher issue though. I can run process downloads and nothing is identified. I close the app and immediately open it and run it again without changing anything and all the episodes are found.

Where do you find the version info?

Application-Manage fetchers and plugins (crtl-shift-F)

But you appear to referencing a lose of connectivity in MCM if relaunching the app resolves the issue. I have never experienced any issue like that on a old or brand new installation.

Actually everything else works. I can easily fetch metadata from all sources without issue. It's only processing downloads where this error occurs.

Would need to see a debug log when this happens.

in case it is of use with troubleshooting, I was getting this type of message for everything even with tv detection override in place and the tv show troubleshooter identifying the show perfectly.

MCM: ... this is a T.V. show episode Power (2014) - 6x03 - ""
MCM: I'm not sure if this file is a T.V. episode or a movie -- I can't detect it as either: Power (2014) S06E03.mkv
MCM: The file is not named in a way I understand. If this is a T.V. episode and you have a scan folder set up for it, then you may want to add a T.V. detection override settings to manually map a series description to its ID.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

used the information above to change from V3 fetcher to V2 and everything started working. it all seems fine now.
