My main reason for trying this program is to get trailers for movies. It is not working. In the log I see
YouTube: The YouTube link for "Downsizing" (2017) is not valid (no readable video format data)
YouTube: ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCrBICY ... CrBICYM0yM

The link works fine but it does not put the trailer in the folder. Is there a setting somewhere that will fix this?

Also, I keep getting The plugin RottenTomatoes does not exist. Why is this?

Also, I get messages that there is a match on iTunes trailers. What do I do with that?

If I can retrieve trailers for all the movies in my library that have a trailer on YouTube, I will become a lifetime subscriber.

Is there a Wiki or instructions about getting trailers?

What are your trailer settings?

I use "allow 1080p adaptive....." without issue.

The newer downloads have blocked the old Rotten Tomatoe plugin that has not worked in ages do to RT requirements, But somewhere in the code still needs updating.

As for iTunes trailers, it is just another attempt to look for trailer, not configurable.

But default configuration will read the TMDB trailer id and attempt to get it (just like the other guy over on Emby). So if TMDB has bad id then you get bad or no trailer. One reason I use adaptive.

I do use adaptive and I did see some trailers coming over, but there are a lot of other issues which I will start a new thread. Thanks for your reply

Another issue I see using the Adaptive is it downloads the audio and video but does not create the re-encoded MP4 trailer. Maybe it needs to finish the queue before it starts the encode. IDK
I am using a folder with about 250 movies. Looks like it will take a while. I will check it in the morning.

Yes it has to finish downloading each track then they are put into a mp4 container. But possibly related to ffprobe not downloading so MCM is not a complete install.

We like clean trailers, only 1080p or higher. Over the years YTube has purposely changed their code several times to restrict downloads of 1080p content, especially trailers. The most recent is to prevent the audio. Even PC tools like YoutubeDownloaderHD struggle keeping up with the changes. Was also tired of trailers with 10-20 seconds or promo crap at the beginning or end from hacks like KinoCheck, OneMedia, MoveClips, etc. So 3-4 years ago I went a different route.

Here's what I do now.
Go to YT, enter in search bar "Movie Name trailer, HD".
You can also do "Movie Name official trailer, HD", which often gets the studios version.
By adding the comma and HD at the it only displays 720P and 1080p trailers for that movie name.
Studio trailers are usually 10-20 seconds shorter than others and will display their name right below title, like Paramount, Lionsgate, etc.
I copy the URL for that video and insert at ClipConverter, which has worked flawlessly for years. It will show you what is available, 720, 1080, 2160, etc. Select your resolution and it downloads it for you.

For a long time I used Youtube Downloader HD, a PC based portable software. But this too became problematic getting 1080p, always new versions.

I moved my media to a NAS and ever since, I can no longer get trailers to encode. The metadata works fine, just not trailers.
The .audio and .video files download fine, then they just disappear. Here is the part of the log that works on the trailer.

Anyone? Still having this issue. MCM downloads YT audio and video files, then they disappear and never creates the MP4. ffmpeg and ffprobe look fine. Does this have something to do with the files now being on a network? Worked fine before I moved all my media to a NAS.
Movies that have iTunes trailers seem to work.
