First, Pete has been active.. He has fixed some stuff in the recent past when it was made aware to him. Thanks Pete.

Second, Yeah.. there are some issues happening and other sites changing API's and wanting to charge money when they used to be free, etc.

Third, also some sites to fetch from are not responding with their API's for awhile now and some return results that are "off" by "1", or similar issues.

All that being said, thanks for responding Pete and looking into the current issues. I am very much hoping you keep things going and patch up the few items that are most troublesome at the least. This is still the only manager/torrent fetcher I want to use.

The year 2021 HAS to be better than 2020.. knock on wood.

I added an exception on Windows Defender firewall (Windows 10) for MCMStubLauncher.exe and stopped having the problem ... I reboot my PC everyday, the message no longer is shown (3 days now).

Sounds like another one of those Windows 10 pesky security updates that was released on or about 23 March, I've also had issues with other third party software. I have tried it on a Windows 7 test machine clean installed and works fine without modifying the firewall, however, still having issues installing FFPROBE Utility Update on first use, but the workaround for that is to download and install it manually. viewtopic.php?p=49698#p49698
Adding firewall rule doesn't work for me and there are 2 MCM applications I can find.

I had this problem crop up and noticed that my Windows 10 had inexplicably changed my wired ethernet network from "Private" to "Public" on a system that runs all the time and never moves. No warning, no notification, no reason.

The firewall rules are different for the two, so that explained why it suddenly happens and then would go away. Flipping it back to "Private" did the trick.

I cannot fix.. Everything.. and I can ONLY .. pester Pete.. to take notice.

Depends on if it is a Microsoft or MCM issue. But none of the Microsoft fixes users have mentioned applies to me so far.

Same here. Firewall is disabled and flipping on/off hasn't helped.

In the meantime I've turned auto update off, out of sight out of mind!!
The last auto update was 4 months ago

I'm also seeing this error with the only know changes being recent Windows updates for Windows 10 version 20H2.

Doesn't look to be a firewall issue for me (also have inbound and outbound rules for MediaCenterMaster.exe and MCMStubLauncher.exe in place). The exception is a URI format error, however I can pull the URI just fine from a browser.
