I've noticed over the past couple weeks that my lifetime licensing will switch back to free version. I click on Help/Licensing and my email and license code are present. I click done and it shows lifetime again. But several hours later, it will show free version. Any idea what could be causing this? I use a VPN (and have for years) and it doesn't show any disconnect. I'm guessing that MCM does some type of polling to the licensing server? Whatever is causing it it's really annoying as MCM in free version will not process my downloads or download anything new.
Thoughts?

Sound like the licensing server thinks you have MCM running on multiple/different systems and disconnect.
Only suggestion may be doing a complete Revoke process and reapplying the key.

I could try that but I've been running MCM on the same laptop for 5 years now and never had an issue. Haven't reinstalled MCM or anything that would cause the licensing server to think I'm not legitimate.

I have had Windows 10 updates break licensing. So this is not a new issue.
But to me with a vpn reporting different info to licensing server could always be a issue (it is with a lot of sites). But only Pete can truly comment.

But did it happen several times a day? Like I said it's been fine using VPN for over 5 years and probably even longer. I think I got my lifetime license in 2010. First time I've ever had an issue like this. I mean yes I have had times when it switched back to the free version but never has it happened multiple times in a day.
I will be curious what Pete has to say.
thanks...

Well interesting update. I have two laptops on a KVM. I noticed as long as I don't switch to my other laptop and keep the KVM on the laptop running MCM, my licensing stays at lifetime. It's really odd because the KVM only switches the keyboard, monitor and mouse. Not any networking. And according to my VPN logs, the connection has been stable for over a week.
