Hi guys have a problem. Why does it take so long for MCM to fetch the metadata for a movie, it takes sometimes up to 15 minutes, this happens with every movie title. I have over 30,000 titles. Is there a way to make MCM speed up?

OK - So, not a solution to your problem, but I have to ask...

I have a large collection as well (33,465 as of this very moment) and my MCM simply can't handle it. I get 'OutofMemory' errors and the program crashes. How is it that you have a similarly sized library and are not seeing the same issue as I?

On the other hand, when it was working, I would fetch metadata in seconds. Perhaps a collaboration of settings is in order?

I am having the same problems, I don't get memory errors though, using 128GB, just delays using V4

Make sure you shut down any unneeded programs. MCM is a resource hog. I also use a memory cleaning program. I use tweak.com's program and i also use WISE Memory Optimizer. My problem could be from the amount of drives i have hooked up, have used all letters of the Alphabet except Z. Am also running a RAID cage (4 Drives) and a 4 bay Hard Drive Cage. Between 50 to 75 TERABYTES depending on which ones i hook up. Sometimes i will run MCM in Safe Mode. Also increase your swap file (page file) in Windows. I am using WIndows 7 Home Premium. I am going to try it on My WIndows 10 ASUS ROG System, And i may try it on Windows 11. The slowness is driving me nuts.
