Media Center Master keeps most of its configuration in the Windows system registry in:

Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Peter Souza IV\Media Center Master

Some legacy settings are also stored in:

Code:
%ProgramFiles%\Media Center Master

If you are running a 64-bit version of Windows, it will be in this folder instead:

Code:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Media Center Master

In that folder you will find the following file:

Media Center Master.exe.config (sometimes it's Media Center Master.config)
This is where some of the default application settings, preferences, scan folders, etc. are saved. When preferences change, this file will remain unchanged, but instead a registry update will occur. So to default to original settings, you can delete the entire registry key for Media Center Master.

Media Center Master also keeps a list of movies it has downloaded and T.V. episodes in your library and that have been downloaded so that it knows what to download and what to skip. These files are located in:

Code:
%APPDATA%\Peter Souza IV\Media Center Master

MovieDownloads.csv
This is a list of movie downloads that Media Center Master has downloaded for you.

TVDownloads.csv
This is a list of TV episode downloads that Media Center Master has downloaded for you and additionally what TV episodes you have in your collection (so therefore it will not attempt to download).

You will need to fetch meta data for all of your TV series for the TVDownloads.csv to have a proper list of what's in your library.

I've scoured the forum and i can't quite find an answer. My question has to do with everytime MCM does a search for new episode torrents, i looks for every episode from the begining. i've done everything i've read about the meta data.

I can't seem to find the TVDownloads file to see if my existing episodes are in there.

Any ideas?

Brad

The TV downloads/library file is now located in %APPDATA%\Peter Souza\Media Center Master\.

Make sure you have fully fetched all meta data for all of your library's episodes prior to downloading so that MCM can catalog your library. Otherwise MCM will download duplicates.

For the config file, specifically the tvdownloads.csv. I have 3 shows that mcm insists on downloading episodes for even though I have them already. If I wipe out this file will MCM rebuild it. So far I have downloaded the last Caprica episode about 5 times already and I am getting tired of deleting it.

I tried wiping the metadata for the show already, but that has not made any difference.

Any ideas?
