I spent a few days struggling with why my downloaded files from utorrent would not work with the Download Parser. It keep saying "skipping download parser for in use file". THis was because all my utorrent files were being marked as read-only on completion. MCM can't move read-only files.

I have been using the beta version of Utorrent, specifically 3.3 beta build 28763 32bit and a recent update changed the default on an hidden option. You have to change this for MC and utorrent to work well together.

In Utorrent, click options, preferences, then advanced. Type read in the filter and up comes the secret option to mark all files read only on completion. Mine was set to true sometime this week when utorrent updated itself. I set it to false and everything is back to running again. I hope this helps anyone with the same problem in the future and maybe we should consider adding it to the already excellent utorrent guide.

I'm using uTorrent 3.4 alpha, and have no problems with files being released for MCM, and I haven't had to change any settings

Just had the same problem. uTorrent just updated and set the read-only to True. This was preventing MCM from transferring files.

Thanks for the info on how to fix!!!

No problem. I discovered this a while back and figured it would come up again.

Beginning with tonight's version (2.05 build 11213.1330), Media Center Master will now remove the read-only attribute from all files and folders in the configured download parser path by default whenever the download parser runs. This behavior can be turned off if you intentionally want to prevent the download parser from operating on new downloads in the configured download parser path.
