I would like to see that if you refresh the meta data for a movie either manually, or your whole list that the program would redo the mymovies.xml file. Sometimes in the past i've had issues with movies having bad meta data, and to fix that requires a lot of editing.

Refreshing the meta data means that MCM will reload the mymovies.xml (or series.xml) file and re-display the contents. If nothing changes (because it's a refresh), why write back out a new mymovies.xml (series.xml) file? Are you saying that you have some corrupt mymovies.xml files that need to be reparsed (not refetched) so that broken XML tags can be repaired?

yes that is what i'm saying. I think i've fixed most of them, but it would be nice to have the option for it to totally replace the mymovies.xml.
It could also be used to fix genres or other issues.
I'd just like to have the option for MCM to go through and have every movie updated.
Right now if some meatdata is corrupt you basically have to clear out the meatdata (but best to save the ID tags) and then make a new mymovies.xml and refetch the content.
It is time consuming.

Can't you just delete the mymovies.xml file manually? But I guess it would be nice if MCM did it.
More to the point, I would like to put in some info myself and have that "locked". As in a checkbox or something saying "don't alter this field". MCM would then only update the rest of the metadata in the xml file.

The clearing out meta data doesn't really accomplish what I want a lot of times, Because there's a decent chance it won't get the movie or it will get the wrong movie. Now what's odd is that I do have it selected to re-use existing meta data, but somehow it went And screwed up planet of the apes (again!). It really seems to have a love on for the 2001 version. Basically I just want it to recreate the meta data, but keep the existing ids.

I completely redid the entire detection system for today's release. Also, do you have movie confirmation on? If not, it will pick the most popular choice (if no year is supplied in the folder name).
