I'm running into a frustrating issue when autoprocessing downloads. MCM will detect a TV show incorrectly as a movie, and then wipe out the entire show from my NAS because it's detected as a duplicate even though it's a TV show and not movie.

It happens randomly and I can't find a pattern but here's what I've confirmed this time after catching it:

1) The show titles are usually formatted like {title} - SEE - Title.{ext}. For example, Zoo - 201 - The Day Of The Beast & Caraquet.mkv.
2) The current log shows it's a combined episodes for this example, but it's also happened with single episode shows in the past and shows like Homeland, Big Bang Theory, and others so it's not the simple names causing the issue.
3) TV Show title detection is on and configured properly as it works most of the time.
4) MCM deletes folder completely from the NAS and does not send to recycle bin. (I'm using a synology with recycling bin enabled)
5) Mode is set to TV and mode detection is checked
6) Under settings -> Download Parser -> Don't allow duplicates; replace with better quality is checked but the file was the same as the others in terms of quality (720p).

Here's the MCM Log from the processing:
MCM: Detecting and processing: "C:\Temp\tv\Zoo"
MCM: Automatically detecting Zoo...
MCM: C:\Temp\tv\Zoo

themoviedb.org: Found #212577, "The Zoo" (2012)
MCM: ... this is a movie: Zoo (1962)
MCM: Moving to:
MCM: \\SYNOLOGY\video\TV show\Zoo
MCM: The existing movie in \\SYNOLOGY\video\TV show\Zoo has been removed (duplicate).

Let me know what other info I can provide to help fix and prevent this from happening again.

Thanks!

If the log for the other series this has happened to is similar, try adding an override. Hopefully MCM will then process it correctly.

I've got The Big Bang Theory though and don't need to do it

Hi Tippon,

I already have an override set for all the shows and it still detected it as a movie and deleted the show that had full episodes. It happens randomly and will wipe out entire shows with multiple seasons. I had to download 9 seasons of big bang theory from my dvds again which was painful.
