Hello all!

Recently, MCM has begun asking me to confirm that it's the right show every time it searches for new episodes. With one title, it asked me 32 times in a row. If I just keep saying Yes, eventually it stops asking and moves on to the next show, with everything seeming to end up fine. I have checked the overrides, all the settings, and I've even deleting the metadata and re-downloaded it. The automation won't work until this stops, because without confirming the dialog box, it won't download anything new.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the series.xml to ensure it has the correct information?

Do you have any other software that modifies your medias metadata?

Hi doug,

Yes, I've checked series.xml for each show affected - it's always correct. There are no other apps that touch the metadata. I should have mentioned initially - It's only doing this for a few of my shows, not all of them.

I have confirmed that this (and numerous other) problem(s) is because MCM no longer understands JSON responses coming from TheTVDB. There are JSON errors all over the developer logs.

It seems that support is dead for this product. I've sent numerous emails to the support email address and I never get a reply. Is there anything that can be done to fix this? New TV episodes don't download anymore because of this, so the software is basically useless to me until this is resolved.

Thanks for any help

Which TVDB plugin is this issue on (v2 or v3)?

So I wasn't sure what you meant by this - so I went digging around and found the fetchers & plugins - which I had never noticed before (I know, believe me.. /facepalm).

The problem is happening on v3. I switched MCM over to v2, and it started working - so yay! Thank you.

Changing to v2 worked for me.
