Over the last two days I have encountered and issue when processing new downloads. MCM has been processing the files but instead of moving movies to the Mobie directory, it renames the folder and files then leaves them in the scan folder. When it encounters the movie on the next sweep it puts a subfolder in the renamed movie folder and moves the metadata and movie file to the subfolder. (As this ran every 15 mins over the course of the night I ended up with a movie file several subfolders deep). For TV episodes, it appears to move and rename the files appropriately, but upon closer inspection, the renamed epispde is a 0kb "ghost file" and the actual epispde is left in the scan folder. When I delete the ghost file and move the episode over manually for doing a manual metadata scan and series-level rename, it tells me the file is already there (despite being named differently and there not being a visible file of the same name). Any insight or assistance is appreciated. I have tried restarting the program, PC and NAS drive. I verified my premium license is good to go and that all the appropriate settings are checked and appropriate folders are selected. If you need logs I can provide when I get home from work. Thanks!

I've had this same behavior in the past.

for me, it was I'm using a mapped network drive to a NAS
however mapped drives are user specific.

in the preference and settings page > General page
tick do not attempt UAC elevation.

if this is not ticked, the app runs as administrator, which is not the same user, and does not have the mapped drives.
