Since the last update my MCM system won't seem to process new downloads until I close and re-open the app. If it's been open any length of time I can't even manually tell it to process them, it just seems to ignore it. If I close and re-open and go tell it to process it will, no problem.

I also have a similar problem with metadata. If it's been open already and I add a TV series, it'll just add the folder but will go yellow (missing metadata). If I force it to fetch again, nothing. If I close and re-open the app it'll pull it right down if I fetch it again.

I run a dedicated VM for MCM and it's "always on" as it were but lately I've had to do a LOT of hand feeding it since the last round of updates.

I've noticed the same thing. It's like MCM is stuck in the fetching operation. When it happens I notice the two far right status indicators are "on" and never go off until I close and reopen MCM. And of course, I get a warming dialog saying a fetch or something is still in process. And it does seem like it started with the last update.

That is EXACTLY my issue to a T. I didn't notice the indicators but sure enough, they're on. I get that warning each time and have to kill it.

No idea if anyone else has looked at this thread or not but it appears, from the thread manager, that mine is just getting stuck on the Metadata Fetcher.

Once it's hung up in this state I can't manually fetch metadata anymore, it just ignores the command. I have to close and relaunch MCM

And how would one reproduce this issue?

I process movies and episodes daily and don't have this issue.

reproduce? I don't know, my MCM machine runs 24/7 and since the last round of updates every time I check it it's hung up in this state. I have to close and re-open the app.

Edited to add: "Hung" is probably strong because it'll still do some background stuff but exhibits the symptoms outlined by myself and muzicman61 above

I had to roll back to 2.16 4517.861 which has it running normally now. I couldn't continue force closing and re-opening the app 6+ times a day just to have it do what it's designed to do. As dismissive as you guys are of this, many of the other threads are peppered with people having the same issue/symptoms. Just sayin'

Still unsolved.

+1 exactly the same symptoms and only resolution is to close and re-start MCM. Will try rolling back to 2.16 4517.861
