It seems MCM always goes for the most recently modified/created file in the watch folder, which when files are actively downloading into that folder, are often locked and unreadable. When this happens it should skip this file and move onto any other files present in the watch folder, but it doesn't. As soon as it sees a file that is locked, the entire download parser aborts. With active downloads, this results in a cycle of checking the watch folder, picking the most recent file, having access denied, and aborting when there are plenty of other already complete files available for parsing.

So your watch folder is a active download folder. Not knowing your setup why not move completed downloads to your watch folder?

well I could do that, but why not have the download parser start from the oldest file first or only skip files it doesn't have access to and keep checking other files? :)
