I searched but did not see this issue listed. My appoligies should I have missed it. I have a few multipart files. When fetching info, MCM creates a *.nfo file (I have it set to use XBMC/KODI). However when the .nfo is created it is named after the second part. For example:

Title [19xx]part1.avi
Title [19xx]part2.avi
Title [19xx]part2.nfo

I would expect that the file should be named:

Title [19xx].nfo

Also (possibly related) when extracting thumbnails, MCM only pulls images from Title [19xx]part2.avi. I would also expect that it should at the least pull images from part 1 and then maybe add images from part 2. For movies that don't have background art, I like to use the title shot when available but MCM will almost never find a title in the second half of a movie. ;)

Wow... I didn't know people even still used multipart files.

Multipart files are scarcely supported by Media Center Master anymore and should maybe be revisited. MCM is identifying the largest video file in the folder as the primary video source and that's why the external metadata (.nfo), subtitles, theatrical trailers, and thumbnail extractions are occurring the way they are. I imagine in your example, the title's second video size is larger.

Is there a reason that you keep your video library titles split into multiple video files? This used to be very popular when cheap CDs were used to store movies into files that needed to be split down to ~700 MB, but the practice is, as far as I understand, largely abandoned in modern libraries.
