 Post subject: When quiting, writing library cache to disk (hangs)

Whenever I tried to quit MCM, it gives a message about writing library cache to disk
but it seems to hang at this point or takes forever
so I have to force quit it.

1. Why is this problem occur?

2. Is there option to disable this writing file to disk and if not, then please add this option.

3. I also noticed the performance of this software has been really slow/laggy
nowadays.

How to fix this?

I am having the same issue. I just downloaded the latest update today and when I ran my auto scan it kept hanging on the new Oceans Eight movie (I had it named Oceans 8 and it picked up some random other movie from IMDB). When I try to clear the meta and re-fetch it wouldn't complete the action and stalled. I closed it and now it has hung on the written to disk message...

It seems like there may be an unresolved data storage conflict of some kind.

There is a option to "Don't save working cache on exit". Application-S&P-General

If there are database issues you could try deleting the library.db and TitleCache2.db and allow them to rebuild to see if that resolves your issue.

Hit ctrl-L in MCM to open folder, Close MCM and delete the databases.

Note there is a TitleCache2.db in each profile folder also.

I just enabled this option but the problem still occurs..
But it is still showing the message

I don't think the library and title db is tthe issue,
cos I regularly moved scanned movies out of the scan directory when it is done.

Should we delete the TitleCache.db as well?

I will test it and delete to see if it helps..
