I've tried troubleshooting the latest builds but it seems like I can't prevent freezing issues with the app. For whatever reason version 2.16 seems to work without any of the issues. Other than hitting cancel when it starts to update on startup, I can't find a way to stop the updates altogether.

Just curious if there is an option in the settings that can stop the auto update check at startup?

Have you looked the the option on the Applications menu?

But there are a lot of issues associated with TVDB v3 fetcher.

I absolutely can't recommend that anyone prevent Media Center Master from auto-updating as features will definitely be broken (especially fetchers) and you will not receive any support for outdated versions.

However, if you need to disable auto-update, simply go to up to the Application menu and near the bottom it says Use auto-update with a check next to it. Click that to uncheck it and autoupdates will become disabled.
