Hi
Since the new release, MCM has repeatedly asked for conformation of show name when scanning "the simpsons" in my "TV Shows Folder"
"Is this the show your looking for", after clicking yes it pops up again, and again, and again, and again...............last time it did it i shut it down.
Ive deleted the metadata and let it scan again with the same results
Ive forced the Show Name and its the same thing.
MCM frequently locks, and i get a black screen from time to time but it never really bothered me, i just ctrl, alt,del and stop stub launcher.
its a great program for getting my metadata but this is driving me nuts,any ideas
regards gearhead

@Gearhead I have experience similar behavior with several shows, already in the library, prompting me for a potential match. Originally I thought this was more an issue with my library, and it still may be, but I'm a bit more suspect there could be more going on, but I am not sure.

I copied yesterday's log down, and searched for "Potential match" and here is my results. The first two ["The Season"] I have yet to figure out what is hitting, as I do not have either of those shows, so I have just been choosing "No" for each. The other two, I have those shows, I keep them updated, and yet they are prompting.

Quote:
Search "Potential match" (10 hits in 1 file)
C:\Users\ken\Documents\MCM\Activity log for 2019-08-30.log (10 hits)
Line 3608: 5:00 PM :: tv db Potential match #132171 - "The Season", 100% match
Line 3615: 5:00 PM :: tv db Potential match #322272 - "The Season (2010)", 100% match
Line 3633: 5:02 PM :: tv db Potential match #132171 - "The Season", 100% match
Line 3634: 5:02 PM :: tv db Potential match #322272 - "The Season (2010)", 100% match
Line 4719: 6:18 PM :: tv db Potential match #338186 - "Succession", 100% match
Line 4720: 6:34 PM :: tv db Potential match #338186 - "Succession", 100% match
Line 4731: 6:35 PM :: tv db Potential match #338186 - "Succession", 100% match
Line 4734: 7:10 PM :: tv db Potential match #338186 - "Succession", 100% match
Line 16417: 10:15 PM :: tv db Potential match #75805 - "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", 100% match
Line 21013: 10:50 PM :: tv db Potential match #75805 - "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", 100% match

I have been rearranging and trimming my content libraries so I thought that may be part of the problem. I've turned on Debug login and am watching to see if I can capture the behavior.

Attached is the full log referenced from the above search, should anyone find this useful. The build I am running is 2.19 Build: 23119.1014

Hope this is helpful.

Update: I have now had SNL and IASIP, prompt, however, I also noticed "Episode Level Auto Scan" was enabled. I do not remember enabling that. I typically only had "Auto Scan" enabled. I do not know if this will make a difference. I have toggled episode level to off and restarted MCM. I'll revisit the debug log(s) this afternoon.

Update: This issue has not returned since turning off Episode-level auto-scanning. I would surmise this behavior must have to do with something within the coding of the episodes within the library where it got triggered, rather than a bug. This level of scanning is needed in my context, so I have disabled it. I'd consider this closed.
