Post subject:  4k TV and H265

So this is a 2 part post.

First: just bought a 4k TV and want to take advantage of the 4k upscaling engine. I have the movies downloader set to look for 1080p movies between 1 and 7 gigs. Most 1080p movies seem to be around the 3 or 4 gig mark and the look great. What i'm wondering is, will higher bitrate files look better on a 4k tv? or does it matter?

It doesn't look like there are a lot of h265 files out there. I use plex through a roku 3 to play content on my TV, and from what i've read, the experimental player in plex will play h265 files. Does anyone out there actively seek out h265 files? Do they work for you?

Just some things i've been wondering about. What do you guys think?

Roku 3 can not play 4k content. Look into the Roku 4 model.

All I search for are x265 files. x264 is a last resort.
I have been playing them with zero problems for over 2 years.
I have even got some 4K/x265 files off of KAT.
If you are having trouble finding them, search for "HEVC" or"x265", not "h265".

So I'm wondering how you have your general search terms set up for looking for 265 files?

Thanks
