Hi Pete.

If a TV episode is downloaded (via UseNet), MCM marks it as "download .nzb" in Download History.

If for some reason the download fails, is MCM aware and will it make another attempt at download ??

If not, does the episode going into a limbo state until it is noticed ??

I use sabnzbd as my nzb downloader, so MCM does not process the download itself.

TIA.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'aware'.

If you have Media Center Master download them using its internal downloader and not SabNZBd, and a download fails, some repair attempts (including re-download of missing or corrupt articles) will be made. Beyond that, I'm not sure what you're looking for?

What I mean is, does MCM try any re-download if an episode is in "download .nzb" for an inordinate length of time (7 days ??), irrespective of MCM processing the NZB or an third-party app ??

Would it throw a prompt up stating there may be a problem with the download, or does it not take any notice ??

Just wondering what happens.

No, but something like this is being worked into an upcoming feature.

Pete

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have the same question as the OP.

I use SABnzbd to download series etc. as requested by MCM, using the"Move the .nzb file to this path and do nothing else with it" function.

Occasionally, a download will fail in SABnzbd stating "Aborted, cannot complete". At present I have to manually watch for failed items in SABnzbd then search for them in MCM download history and delete the line before it will try again.

Is there anyway MCM could check its 'Download History' and delete any downloads with the status "downloaded .nzb" after a period of time (say 24hr old)???. I guess this would also work for torrent files.

Regards
Paul
