Hi,

Could you make the source code for the thetvdb.com fetcher available?
I'm interested in pulling German metadata from thetvdb, which should be a simple modification in the current fetcher.

You need to obtain your own developer's API key from thetvdb.com. They also have a full reference to their API online.

The MCM Common library can be referenced by any .Net project. Just include a reference to it in your Visual Studio project and it should pull in all of the public methods through Object Explorer.

Yea, well I kinda figured it's a one-line modification to the existing fetcher, which would be pretty simple compared to a full rewrite. Even if I'd use existing code libraries it takes a while to figure out the plugin interface, adapt the code, test it, etc.

Anyway. The plugin template you provided in the other thread only seems to be designed for Movie Metadata, but not for TV Series/Episodes. Or am I missing something here?

That's correct -- the plugin system only allows movie/adult titles as of yet.

I'm not a qualified programmer, but just out of curiosity.

If I update the imdb dll from here: http://code.google.com/p/imdb-api/
in the program files folder, will that fix my issues with the IMDB fetcher as mentioned here?

Edit:

MCM: The plugin IMDB was loaded, but does not provide an MCMInterface class to use.

Ah nevermind, you can call me n00b now :)

Time to find Visual Studio and see how I can fix this darn issue. It's really annoying to see too many problems with IMDB. Apparently they keep changing their code regularly to keep us guys away. I guess I need to figure out any RegEx issues and fix this bug. I really want to keep up-to-date with IMDB data, especially the ratings, which keep changing, and other data.

Please use auto-update to update the IMDB fetcher to version 1.02. This fixes the runtime and score/rating.
