In the current profile, there is a file named settings.xml.

On first look, it seems to match my current configuration, but when I make a change in MCM, it doesn't update the file.

When I quit it doesn't update the file.

When I launch MCM, it reflects the change I made, but the XML file is still not updated?

Does anybody know where/how MCM saves/reads its configuration from?

I'm making a web frontend, have successfully connected to the sqlite dB for all the media info, and have parsed the settings.xml into an interactive settings form, but need to know where to save the XML file back to? And will I need to close MCM before making the change, and then launch it again to apply the settings?

Any advise greatly appreciated.

Kev

Nearly 14k reads on this, but no replies, so either I am asking a really stupid question (most likely) or nobody actually knows (not very likely).

So I found the settings in the registry. They are stored at:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Peter Souza IV\Media Center Master]

If I ever get to spend some time on my web app again, ill be able to control all these settings on a web-based dashboard and force the app to restart to apply settings.

The only thing I am really not sure about, is how to add a TV show?

I can write the curl code to retrieve show info from thetvdb etc, but I don't know how to format it for MCM. Perhaps I just need to add a meta info file to the TV Series folder, but would need to force MCM to refresh the Media Library to import it... any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.
